The Town That Shot the Sheriff

: Documentary Feature
GENRE: Documentary
STATUS: Post-Production

When a destructive fossil-fuel project threatens to unravel life of small communities in rural Upstate New York, residents look for inspiration to a flamboyant rebellion staged by their ancestors. They rise up against corporate power – and make bizarre disguises, spooky leather masks and long robes of calico fabric, in the tradition of the local 19th century farmers who fought for their land. Defending their rights and their environment, like their ancestors 170 years ago, they discover the power of their community and their progressive history.
